So I talked to my local marina today...I was trying to find the hinge pin tool to remove the drive. They told me they change them all the time without removing tumble etc. They said just like y'all did, turn the wheel, have someone guide the cable in and out with you. And look for any trays in the teflon where the crimps are.

I may just try this until later at the end of season and do the whole thing right.
I found a bad spot in my floor I'm repairing right now so I don't want it apart again lol

Any help or videos of doing this ? Thanks guys
