Yep, as they say, parking space is no longer a problem. Hey, he might have been one of them that jumped ahead of someone else in line. Maybe the guy that took the photo's. Now THAT WOULD BE JUSTICE!

Just one of GodsBeast's

Yahoo allows only a certain amount of traffic. Once reached they block the access

No Storm, I'm rather new to the site. As you can see UU, has been posting here a lot longer than I have. I try to abide by rules, and would rather be advised if I'm dragging an anchor (so to speak). I also did not know if UU was even refering to me. No Storm that I can see, at this time.

Just one of GodsBeast's

GodsBeast,

No-no, you're not violating any rules here. The thing is that Yahoo limits the traffic to sites hosted at their (free) servers. This, appearantly, to avoid commercial use, for which they recommend you purchase another service from them.

When you refer to an interesting subject on Yahoo the site is bound to have a lotta traffic from iboat's member hence pushing Yahoo's limit.

My post was merely a frustration over Yahoo 'cause I was sooo curious about it :)

I got through, eventually, and must say that it frightens me to know, that this kind of people are also driving cars, shopping carts, lawn mowers, snowmobiles and anything else than turns into a lethal weapon when not used properly

Re: Easiest way to launch a boat/pwc

We are cool UU, in addition to learning boating, I am learning computers, and sites like these. I always shied away from computers, fearing I'd click on the wrong button and lanch a missle somewhere! :D Some of my officers are showing me a few computer tricks, which lead to me finding this site. In supervision, I do still patrol, but am constantly called to the office, but attempt to go on every call with my guys. This has lead to me leaving in the middle of Posting a reply, to back up an Officer. I was just making sure that leaving the computer in the middle of posting a reply was not causing a problem for someone else, because I had left the computer in the middle of the above post. I had to leave again after posting. After the second post, I ended up being called to a bad Wreck, which one of our Fire Captain's fell out with what Doctor's call "Sudden Death". A Fireman and I did CPR and according to the Doctors, if we hadn't done it then, and right, we
would have lost our Fire Captain. The Doctor said he died twice on the side of the road.

On your other comment, wait till you see a Midsize car, with a 2 foot square plate bolted through a trunk, with a Goose Neck Trailer ball mounted in the center of the plate, pulling a Goose Neck Trailer!   Real Scary! When my dad and I saw it (I was off duty) he made his old comment "Boy, a Man that doesn't use his head, just as soon have two
a-sholes."

Just one of GodsBeast's

Back in the 70's my high school rowing team had a rig similar to what you described to bring our 60 foot rowing shells to regattas. It could carry four boats.

It was an old 1950's era ambulance, with a hitch mounted on its roof. The trailer itself was about 48 feet LOA.. The center pivot point made it very easy for our drivers to get around crowded regatta sites.

Termites and Mechanical problems took it out of service in my senior year.

Hey Kilgore Trout, Bet that was some fun. You know I understand High School, or College Guys, or someone in general making do with what they have. For all I know, this guy may have just been transporting a trailer, back to someone or home, etc. This was a large livestock trailer, (No livestock in it )just some hay and dung left in the trailer. Just the trailer was enough weight to scare us though. I mean the plate the ball was mounted to was pretty heavy, but the trunk is only secured by the bolts on the hindges, and the trunk lock assembly.

You have to admit though, some folks take some pretty scary chances.

Just on of GodsBeast's

Just HAVE to post one of my favourites:

Kids' behaviour is a result of pedigree and environment.

Parents are responsible for giving kids a solid base in life. Although they can't help 'pedigree' they have to teach their kids to THINK, evaluate, consider and use their imagination. In all relations. Starting early in the kid's life.

This has nothing to do with social status. Rich or poor - when they fail in building a solid base, they are up for all sorts of problems, all life long.

PS! I know there are exceptions from the general as both parents and kid's are different and can't always control their lives. But way too many kids grow up to be jerks due to neglect and this is a shame!
