Hi all,

Recently been experiencing an issue at WOT with what appears to be a fuel delivery issue.

The engine appears to surge and wants to die.

We can run at about 80% throttle and cruise without issue.

Recently replaced the ceramic/stone fuel filter and added a water separator to my 3/8 fuel line before the fuel pump. (Installed slightly lower than the fuel pump)

I do see what appears to be oil? near the fuel pump around the oil pan lip?

The inspection tube is free from gas.

Is there an easy way to check fuel pressure at WOT?

Is it this type of fitting?

I also note a whining noise coming from the alternator, although the volt gauge shows +-14v output.

Any advice on other stuff to check would be helpful and get us back out on the water!

Engine SN - 0C398275
Drive SN - 0C487737

Thanks!

The one one in your link is normally used for fuel injected motors, but may also work with a carb. The carb one is 91-18078 this way you can used the low pressure vacuum fuel pressure gauge

Either this or make one from barbed Tee fitting and gas hose

Do check your antisiphon valve at the tank

or go to a local scrap yard and find a chevy with fuel injection and get the end with the test valve and the other end without, connect with a section of fuel hose . will need 1 flare coupling
