We're already paying high postage to subsidize those folks sending junk mail.

Its not from junk mail. The rising postage rate is from the above average wage that postal employees make. I have a friend who is a mail carrier and he makes big bucks and simply walks around all day.

Also the rising fuel cost isn't helping postage either.

I've heard postal carriers start out at about 20 an hour full bennies.

Yes. Automatic suspension then reviewing complaints which takes them a long time.
It's Ebay... Over here it's nearly impossible to get anything but an automated reply to email.
