The guy that bought the Elcamino picked it up this morning. He was very happy, and was surprised that the paint was better than he expected. He was like a kid with a new toy. Apeared to be about 40ish. Called me after about two hours and he got to I 5 just had to tell me how good the car ran, and he was very happy. :D

Really kinda hated to see it pull out of the driveway. :(

Well now you can start a new project LubeDude. What will it be?

Where did he come from? It's nice that you can buy something, sight unseen, and not be disappointed.

I have to get busy exchanging the intake and carbs on my Merc before spring sneeks up on me,

The buyer was from SanFrancisco.

LD, I think your buyer should be very happy with the El Camino, and what a deal he got. Chief

I'm sure it was kinda sad seein her go after all the hours and elbow grease. Don't know if I'd be able ot do that or not. Congrats LD on both selling it and being able to let it go. I am kinda anal retentive on certain things, like my boat foe example. I had a heck of a time seeing my Forester go. Weird thing is my mom's neighbor bought it and I get to see how poorly he takes care of it compared to me. Oh well. Least we got paid LD.

I too have difficulty letting go of things I busted my knuckles on. My wife keeps askin when I'm gonna sell my 65 Mustang Convertable.

I tell her, with all the time you've invested in our kids, you in a hurry to get rid of them??

That usually keeps her quiet, on the subject, for a couple of months. ;)

Ive actually only had emotional problems selling one car in my lifetime, My 1968 Corvette 427 Roadster. Its been about 30 years ago, and I miss it to this day. Me and my Ex-wife both shared a hanky when it drove off. After all, she did lose her, oh well, you know, in that car. :D
