What do I need to buy and do to convert this J35RCTS to an electric start? Thanks

You buy the electric start kit, PN 0173964 and pay a lot of money.
Or buy all of the pieces from a salvage yard or ebay and piece it together yourself.
You'll have to get the bracket, starter, a solenoid, a switch, and all of the wiring.

Yes, he should have a toothed fly wheel with that motor.
I shopped ebay for parts, and waited until the right deal came along.
If you haven't bought the motor already, you may want to pass and buy
an electric start model.
