I can hardly wait... if the Dems win their projected seats, all of us "rehubs" get to "armchair quarter back" them for the next two years, if they loose........

My prediction assuming they win... They can't "fix" it all in 2 years. The repubs will campain on that hard and win big in '08.

I don't care about the house as long as the senate is held. Stephens is 87 or 88 and needs a walker. One more like Roberts or Alito. It will be a legacy for generations. d:)

The best part is that after tomorrow all the slimy people will not be heard from again for 2 years :)
Winners will go home and continue to collect paychecks
Loosers will go hame and continue to collect paychecks

Something just aint right about this! :'(

Wrong. After about Fri, Talking heads will keep up until about then, regardless of outcome. I will have to say, all this has added some interest to normally lackluster mid-term elections.

It'll be Hillary 2008 24/7 after the election results die down.

Be careful what you wish for.

Whatever the result of the election, The key will be the Baker/Hamilton report that is due out by the end of the year.

If we can find some sort of resolution to Iraq that gives an exit strategy for Iraq, that will give hope to the repubs, even as they seem to have amnesia as they get behind some sort of quasi-Murtha plan.

If they keep stubbornly chasing that elusive "victory" plan while keeping secret what victory even means, they will continue to have problems.

Even the neo-cons, like Richard Pearle, et al that got us into this mess, are bailing on this administration.

According to the BBC, the Republicans will hold the house, the Senate is still up for grabs at 46 to 46.

For a gamblers eye view:

http://specials.slate.com/futures/

According to this, the Rehubs will hold both. 8)

Sorry cbc, you'll get to hear Nancy Pelosi spew her whacko leftist B******* for the next two years.

For the life of me I cannot fathom why intelligent people like PW, rolmops, et al, can stomach the likes of Pelosi, Dean, Kerry, Gore and oh, lest we forget, Tom Daschle.

Boomer, what are you basing this on?

I'm looking at the BBC (they get it from AP and probably aren’t as skewed as our liberal press) and a real "out there source" but probably closer than most sources, Real gamblers with real money on the table,,,, hey, you can bet on anything. 8)

Just watched Santorum's concession speech on CNN online. The man gave a very good speech and presented himself and his family well. Good luck to him in the future!

Re: Election results...

BBC is now posting that the Democrats have taken the majority position in the House of Reps.

Out of six seats needed for the Democrats to take the house they currently have three.

I really don't care which party controls what just as long as some one can build a consensus and lead the country in a way that unites the populace.

Look again, according to the BBC the Republicans will have 219 seats in the house..... Senate is still up for grabs at 48 to 46... rehubs favor.

The Dems have murdered the Rupubs in the US house of representives and it looks the the control of the US Senate will be left up to Lawyers and a recount in Virginia.
