The battery replacement thing is a pretty tired talking point now. The batteries are pretty damn good. An engine or transmission failure wouldn't be uncommon at 10 years either. Licensing and fees are highly state dependent and pretty ridiculous.

all speculative.....biased opinion.
it's a massive gamble to bet on an EV battery pack....my biased opinion.

That's nothing. Posted the specs on that lyriq...unimpressed.
My ice car would make that with 100+ miles left over....it's an 11 gallon tank...40 mpg hwy.
My '08 silverado would make that with over 200+ miles left....actually closer to 300.
And it's 34 gallon tank weighs about 230lbs full....how much does your "gas" tank weigh.
I've never read any story or video of anyone ever making the range promised on an EV. Don't load it up with people, or baggage and run that a/c....or put a car top carrier on it.
And bring that lawn chair so you can sit and wait for it to get a re-charge.

charge times are a joke...
I can fill my silverado 34 gallon tank in about 8 mins....then good for another 600+ miles.

so just who isn't paying attention?...huh, wiseguy.
