electric gas tank float/gauge

have a Mirax 12-15 gal tank and was wondering<br />if anyone knew the part number ( or where to<br />find it) for the float gauge? who makes it?<br />any links would help...<br />Mirax, St. Louis<br />serial # 44441<br />mfg. date 1972<br />it's an on-board tank for a '76 sea sprite 16'

sorry.... terminology helps!<br />it's an electric sending unit I need.<br />only took me 1hr on the internet to figure<br />it out. :eek:

I'd hate ta bet the farm on it, but I think those sending units are universal. You need to check two things. The mounting flange that mounts it on the tank and the travel of the float arm. If the travel on your old unit is 8" from empty to full, it will have to be the same on the new one. Worse case would be you have to change the gauge to match the new sending unit.<br /><br />g'luck & c/6<br /><br />Hooty

Sending unit mountings are universal and most replacement sending units are available by depth of tank or are adjustable. Try Tempo or Teleflex.
