Ayuh,..... Alota the 1s I see are electric linieractuators, rather than hydraulic, but that would work either way,.....
So long as ya got the forethought to install the by-pass in the 1st place,...

Hhmmmm...I do it with the jumpbox,and a double ended male accesory plug,one to the jumpbox,the other end in the boats accesory plug. Works for me.

our small gensets had them, so did my winch on my truck. I also installed it on the race car for powering up in the shop with the battery removed.

My thought is use nylon bolts at the hinge points... then if the actuator dies you can pry the hatch open n break the plastic bolt

Just used the jumpbox trick again today. Customer brings boat for winterizing, dead batts,power hatch....hook up the box,to accesory plug onboard,open hatch and get to work!
