Re: Electric Powered Power Boats are Around the Corner?
I have no problem with people who are early-adopters of different technology. When the horseless carriage was first introduced, there were several technologies on the market -- including steam, electric, internal combustion, and probably a couple others. After a couple decades, those dwindled to the one with an optimum balance of cost and convenience for that time. We are again entering a time of transition, where many technologies are being developed and marketed. A few will last as they achieve a new cost / convenience balance.
While I'm not an early adopter of any technology, I'm secretly appreciative of those who are, because they will pave the way and begin the winnowing process for the rest of us. Let them spend the big bucks, discover what works well and what doesn't, so that the rest of us can reap the benefits of their experience at a far less cost.
So please don't denigrate the manufacturers who are very trying.
