electric shift lower unit seals replacement

I had milky oil in the lower unit of my Lark 8. I changed the oil last time in July with new washers screw seals but no change. For now, I just refilled it up with BRP Premium Blend oil.

I would really like to fix this problem but I wonder if it's a hard job and if its worth even if the kit is only 42$ on Iboat store. It still runs good and I really like these old outboards.

The first thing I would do is drain the g/c oil and then have it pressure & vacuum checked. That way you pin point where the prob is an eliminate any guess work.
