You did see the price of the switch right? $360!!!!!

yeah I saw that too... not sure what I am going to do I have not been able to locate a used remote for under $300 either.. Funny I paid $500.00 for the whole boat the switch would be worth more than the rest of the boat HA HA HA :D

I did find this though..

http://www.ebay.com/itm/OMC-Johnson-Evinrude-Shift-Selector-Remote-Control-Box-Switch-/151038219613

that saves me half!

I have not been able to find the SAME remote does anyone know which OTHER remotes would work as a replacment??

That is a different part number if your remote is one in the drawing.

When we had our electric shift OMC, our control was not made by OMC. It was a two handle design...one for shift and one for throttle. We actually liked it a lot as you could shift without having to worry about going to far and applying throttle. I have no idea who made it though.

I think there are several options out there: OMC had three different controllers for the Electric Shift, and you may be able to track one down on CL from someone who's gettin' rid of a "donor boat."

Howard Sterndrive suggest something at times too:

See post #2 HERE and #16 HERE.
