Re: electric short?

Ok, I got miffed when I had 12 at the primary with the ignition off and then it went down to .6 when I turned it on. I guess when I move over to the start position it will bring the 12v,s back. I also could not understand how I could put 12v on the secondary and turn the starter over but when I put the same 12v jumping across from the primary it did nothing. I will probably do better if I stop using my brain and just do what you say.

Re: ignition problem

Fishermark, thats for the support and hanging in with me. problem solved. I went out this morning and had no voltage at the circuit breaker and solenoid on the engine. It seems like every morning when I go out something aint working that was working the night before when I quit. Anyway, I traced it to the lug/fuse/juntion leaving the starter It was bad/ corrodded. I changed it and what do you know, everything works. It was harder for me because sometimes you would have all voltage and sometimes a little........ From looking at threads I did manage to take care of the freeze plug situation and I have seen no leaks yet. Take care and if you ever come down to the Gulf/Destin area email and I will fly you around the area or go spearfishing.

... go spearfishing.

I do enjoy the occasional spear fishing. ;) When you want to get away from the oil  - head on down to SW Florida and we can do some fishing!
