Hi,<br />Can anybody tell me if a starter motor from a 1971 Evinrude 25hp outboard can be fitted to a 1982 25hp Evinrude?<br />The general arrangements look very similar.
Welcome Jim to iboats!<br /><br />Honestly, I don't know. The starter motors come up with different part numbers. Don't know if it's because of different windings in the motor or what. And I don't know if the pinion gear is the same or not. I know this ain't much of an answer, hopefully one of the other guys can jump in and tell you....at any rate, it'll get your post back to the top.
