Electric starter for 18 HP Evinrude

Is it possible to get an electric starter from a 20 or 25 horse Johnson/Evinrude to work on a 1973 18 horse Evinrude? If the starter & Engine bracket will fit I will be in the market for used parts. I looked at a 25 horse & it sure looked like it might work.

These engines are basically the same. Remove the recoil and the left side bracket and see if the starter fits and the bolts line up. If they do you will be in business.

I'm betting that they are the same.

some years the brackets look just alike but are slightly different, in there clearance on the block.
