I just found that my flywheel magnets where lose the stator has the epoxy melted off and the triger base resistance is off according to the test that i performed from the manual. My question is if I replace the ststor and trigger base, if the power pack and rectifier are also bad will they damage the new stator and trigger base. Should I just go ahead and replace everything at once. Thanks.

Re: electrical components question

If the rectifier is cooked, so that the wiring in it is shorted, then yes on the rectifier.

Is this your 1984 115?

What killed the rectifier?

93 johnson 225. I dont know if the rectifier is bad. I dont want to buy the timmer base and stator and the mess up the power pack and rectifier or vise versa. I perfer to replace everything at once and I wont have any problems.
