I was pulling into the boat ramp this arvo went to trim the motor up, it wouldn't come up and then I got a few fireworks off the battery terminals now i've got no lights no no trim and tilt no bilge the only things that still work are the fishfinder and ignition, any suggestions, I guess their's a problem in the trim motor cause thats when it happened but I'm not sure where to start, no fuses on this old girl except for the fishy finder and I think the ignition might have an in line installed

Re: Electrical problem

follow all wires leading out from the battery and look for bare spots and frayed wire. Make sure battery cables are tight. If you have a multi meter start checking for voltage at the trim motor and all locations where there should be 12v. You should find find something suspitious somewhere.........Jerry

Thanks fellas terminals were clean but a bit of salt on my anchor light connection and a small burn on the trim wire, must of arched out when it couldn't draw power.
