electrical problems

i have no power after the ignition, cant even run bilge pump or guages dont even work. turn key get nothing. 1992 350 inboard mercruiser. any suggestions? thanks

Check the battery connections, see if there is a fuse on the main starter lug, and there may or may not be a circuit breaker on the engine.

have circuit breaker, cant push in the button, quess i should replace and see if thats the problem. whatcha think

I think that you should use a multimeter or test light and follow the path of electricity and see where it leads you before you throw needless money in parts into the boat.

Don't want to come off like a smart arse or anything, but you need a meter and some diagnosin to find your problem.

used the meter and it stops at the ignition.

the circuit breaker looks like its right next to the solenoid, which i think is the next point to check. what do you think. thanks

Not sure what you mean "it stops at the ignition"
Do you have voltage from the red/purple wire going to the ignition switch?
Do you have voltage on both terminals on the red circuit on the engine.
Have you checked the fuse under the dash for the ignition switch? There should be a 20A fuse in the Red/Purple wire going to the ignition switch.

What i meant is that i have power at the ignition, but nothing after that, the guages dont even work, checked power at the circuit breaker and i think the solenoid and no power, there is a red button for the circuit breaker but it wont let me push it in to reset.

Ayuh,.... Because it don't need resettin'..... did you meter both sides of the breaker,..??
