First off I feel like an idiot. I am an Amphibious Assault Vehicle mechanic in the Marine Corps. However, I am getting my 1995 Bayliner 1850 ready for the water. I am de-winterizing it and put a new battery in. Now none of my gage lights come on. None of the gages register, and it wont turn over. I know there is power to the starter. My blower, bilge, horn, stereo all work. Any ideas???? Thanks

Look back around your battery or battery switch. There should be a fuse going to your accessories fuse panel that protects only your accessories, and not engine or gauges.
The fuse may be ok, but look for corrosion. Bayliner did not use waterproof fuse holders.

The fuse panel is hot. The blower is powered from this panel and it works fine. Is there a fuse in the engine compartment?

The fuse panel is hot
Assuming that means there is power to the fuse panel, and not that it's getting hot temperature wise.
Are the fuses in the fuse panel corroded? if so, clean up the fuses, pull them out as best you can and try again.
In boats, when things get too corroded, they get replaced.

Often there are two or three separate wires on each battery post for boats. Are you sure you got them all back on. It is easy for one of them to drop down out of the way and be missed.

Yes, I did mean power to the fuse panel. I checked and have power from the battery to the starter, also to both sides of the 50 amp CB. I have no power to the ignition switch. Thank you for the info. I will clean the fuses as they are a bit corroded. Is the ignition switch powered from the fuse block?

Thanks Don S!!!! It was a 15 amp fuse on the fuse block. Im going to replace all the fuses as they are corroded. The fuse was hot to the touch.

Re: Electrical Question Please Help!!!

If you have corroded fuses then its likely time to replace the entire fuse block, changing the fuse only removes the corrosion on the fuse itself not the corrosion on the fuse block, this will lead to more issues further down the road...
