As with many old motor if it was sotred in a humid place the driveshaft is most likely stuck in the crank and rusted in. You can try lightly hitting on the lower unit while applying a little upward force on the powerhead. What is your reason for removal?? waterpump?

STM, Yes, it's the waterpump impeller. I've tried heating the crankshaft(while shielding the crank seal),but the driveshaft heats faster and stays hot longer than the crank. I think I may have to take it in and see what our local fella has for ideas. Thank for the input.
