Has anyone used elmers all purpose fiberglass resin. I'm going to be making a new drop in casting deck for my bowrider and purchased this, mat, and cloth to cover the plywood with. I was wondering if anyone used this and how much roughly that I might need to complete this project.

Re: Elmers All purpose fiberglass resin

The only drawback to all purpose resin is it contains wax so it cures dry to the touch, its best suited for final coats.
If you do multiple layers you need to remove the wax, I don't like sanding that much.
The resin I buy comes with wax seperate so you can add it or leave it out.

How much you need? depends how big the platform is.
If you have a boat shop or marina go buy a gallon of unwaxed, save the AP resin for finish coats. If it doesn't say unwaxed you can assume its waxed by default. I get mine at the link.
