ELPTO 50 starting procedure

Any special starting procedure for a ELPTO 50 2 stroke? Dad says his is hard to start, he pushes the key to choke while starting. Last time I ran the boat I had to give it a little more gas by slipping it into neutral.

I have the 3cyl 40,the procedure I us is first to prime the bulb,turn on the ignition,push in key to activate the enricher and slowly count to 3 and release,then turn the key to start.it almost always starts in about 3 turns and if not release the starter and hit the enricher for a count of 2.I never use the throttle as it will flood the engine.If the weather is cold i will hold the key in for an extra second.I used to have the same problem as you but my dealer told me this was the best way to start it.
