Emailing to multiple recipients?

Using Outlook express, is there a way to send a single email to multiple recipients and make it appear that each one was the only one?

I thought you could do it using the BCC function, but apparently when you do that, each BCC'd recipient just sees the name of the primary recipient.

When doing that I usually put my own email in the TO box and everyone else's in BCC.

Add the email addresses in the BCC field only. When someone views the email they will not be able to see who it was sent to. You can leave the TO field blank.

I tried it after you suggested it. It still does not put a BCC'd recipients name on the email. It does eliminate the problem of having one of the intended recipeints show up on all the emails. It just shows to and from you.

Why do you need their email address listed on the email for them to see? I don't think this is really an option unless you send each email individually. I guess you could copy the addresses in an excel document and do a mail merge, but that's a lot of work just to have the recipient able to see their own email address.

I guess it was just a hope. We are mailing out notices of my Daughter's Masters graduation and just thought it would look better if they came addressed to each recipient personally.

I guess we will do them, one at a time.

If there are lots of email addresses than a mail merge would problably be a good option. Have do one of these before?

If you really want it to look good, send real mail notices...also gives the USPS work....:)
