Re: Enertia test results

Kenny,

I do not have a low water pick up, wish I did. I had replaced one power pack last year with a RAPAIR unit part #113-3114. This power pack does have a 5800 rpm rev limiter. I should have gotten the 113-3112 with no rev limiter. I found that little tid bit out after I got the 113-3114 power pack, a little late. The rev limiter cuts in at about 5900 rpm.
Are you aware of any such high or higher pressure water pump? Whats the part# of the TXP you run, is it a 4 blade or a 3 blade prop?

Re: Enertia test results

I missed this earlier....
The TXP in question is one of the prototypes with no P/N. The Trailing edges are just a tad different than those on the production props.
This one falls into the 22-23P class, even though I believe it was meant to be a 21...very fast prop.
It has T.E about like a Hydromotive Q-4.

Well, butting in, I finally got to see what an Enertia looks like. Very nice.

Nice pics muchco. Nice clean garage too. Notice you pay quite a lot of attention to detail. Great.

Re: Enertia test results

Mark and Kenny,

Thanks for the responses, I try my best. I was out this past weekend and ran my 21 Predator again at 4" below the lowest part of the boat (up 1/2" from previous test). I made a few passes and this is what I got. 5700 RPM 58 MPH GPS and 16 -17 lbs water pressure. I added 1" pitch for cup and come up with 9.2% slip. I can use about 90% of the trim in the last 10% the engine speeds up a bit and I loose speed. It throws a rooster tail about as high as the engine cowl (my 7 year old son just loves that). I was unable to try the Enertia again as another person had it out testing. I will have too try it again with the new engine height (hopefully this fall yet).
I have not had any response on the high pressure water pump issue and at 16 -17 pounds my engine shows no signs of heating or getting hot. I do have a infar read thermometer to check head temprature. Does anyone know what the head temprature at WOT should be? I checked the heads when the engine was warm at idle and the temprature was inline with the thermostats.
I contacted Prescion Props to find out if there was a difference between the TXP and the Lighting. They said that there was. I will be looking to try a 21 TXP if I can track a used one down. I will post again if I get a chance to run the Enertia again this fall or maybe with any luck a TXP. As Kenny stated I have a hat to loose and I hear those TXP can do that.
