yep
rebuild the fuel pump and clean the oil tank and filter while your at it. the anti-wear solids tend to fall out and usually will clog the oil filter and set of the low flow alarm if used on your model. its easier to do it all at the same time rather than fight it for a month.
I do hope your spraying pre-mix in it :)

Thanx rodbolt, i didn't know i had a fuel pump but i wondered. after the filter the fuel hose goes into a 3-4" round deal that looks like a fuel pump but i didnt know. by the way i wasnt spraying pre-mix, i figured it had oil injection so i didnt think it needed to be done!!! but i only ran it for 30sec so its probably ok, huh??? Guess its off to the boat shop for this one. its mounted to a 84skeeter 15' boat that i paid 1000.00 for wanted to see if it was worth it!! Thanx

on my suzuki dt75 i cleaned the carbs & it started right up. my next question is for the oil injection. if i deleted it what would be the correct fuel-oil ratio? 50-1 like in my force 50?
also my engines impeller pump is not working is that hard to replace?

Four years could be good or bad depending on what type of lay-up maintenance was perform. The books says after a motor has been sitting for, say six months or so.. to run the engine off Pre-mixed fuel (50:1) so as to verify the oil injection system is working properly. Doing so won't hurt, not doing so could possibly destroy the engine. Also running an engine just 5 seconds without water will damage the impeller, 60 seconds will cause considerable damage, and after 5 minutes - you no longer have an impeller. The lower unit can be removed without removing the engine from the boat. You'll need a gasket kit and a manual wouldn't hurt. There's more steps listed in the manual than I can type, but it says that in order to remove the pump, the driveshaft must be removed from the lower unit. In order to do that, you must remove the bearing carrier cap and pinion gear.
