Re: engine bracket

Gator,

I would be hard for me to immagine that you could have one made for less money than you could buy one, and I seriously doubt that backyard engineering will produce a bracket that is known to be strong enough for your application. However, I have mine off the boat at the moment (painting the hull, repowering, and fixing a bunch of other stuff at the same time), so if you need dimensions its not problem for me to break out the tape measure and protractor. Mine was made by Gil. I think its rated for up to 300 hp but I've been using it with at 200 and this time next month with a 225. Here's what its freshly painted self looks like:
Re: engine bracket

thanks, I have a friend who is a fabricator and was just kicking the idea around, I will probably go with a factory bracket because I have twin engines. looks like the cost is around $900.00 to $1200.00.
