Does anybody have a trick or tool to grease the engine coupler? (7.4l 454 1996) I don't have a lot of space to reach down there! I just pulled and installed back sterndrive with plently of spline grease on the spline.
Thanks

Re: Engine coupler grease

Pulling drive and lubing the splines is the only way it can be done on a lot of boats.

Other than greasing the splines, and that's just so the shaft doesn't seize, thats it, the coupler itself if i'm right doesn't require grease, it's just a rubber doughnut with a molded in spline hub, no?

Re: Engine coupler grease

I should be ok, every year just remove sterndrive and lube the spline with plently of QS engine coupler spline grease!
Thanks, alot easier than trying to crawl on the back of engine.
