engine cuts out

I have a 75 Johnson Loop-charged 3-cyl, and at WOT engine ran great for 5 min then cut out as if under heavy load and then sped back up again. It did this a few times at first, but now all the time. It seems to idle fine except at fast idle where it is a little rough. Gas mixture is 50:1 but was last years with stabiliser.

Could be the gas, but check your coils and clean the coil grounds. Sounds like you're dropping a cylinder

I have the same problem on my 1995 115 OMC. It will run fine at normal idle but once we get going on the water, it will cut in and out. <br /><br />In order to get it to start, I had to install a primer bulb -- without the bulb it would not start at all -- no fuel.

It looks like it was the coil as I was dropping the top cyl... Thanks for the advise.
