Is it possible to tear down an engine, and replace a rod, and put it back together and running within a couple hours?

Would the busted rod not do alot of internal damage?

Enough already...lol

You lost/ they won and btw look at some previous post, you are in a no win situation with there experience.

put that engine on craigs list or sell it for parts would probably be your best option at this point

I have to agree with the more experienced guys on here with what they said. If your motor starts sounding odd and making different noises, you don't run it at WOT. It should have , a. been shut down or b. limped back to the trailer. Any motor will tell you when there is something wrong with it and it isn't feeling well, all you have to do is listen to it and have common sense. Don't mean to offend you, but it seems that you created your own dilemma with the WOT.:(
