My early sunseeker (20ft circa 1990) has a Volvo Penta AQ171 petrol engine with appropriate duoprop outdrive. The Renix ignition unit has gone on the blink and a new one costs £500. I can get a unit via Enbay but it's from a Volvo car engine. Anyone out there know if it'll be compatible? Does anyone know if there's a compatible diesel engine that could be strapped on to replace the Volvo and whether bell housing plates etc are available? I'm not especially concerned about speed and performance.
