We bought a 1976 Glastron Sea Rider with a AQ190 with a 280 outdrive. I,m looking for a engine harness. the one that is in there is pretty bad. I've replaced the coil, spark plugs and alternator and I'm only getting less than 12 volts. I hope that someone can tell what esle to replace or look at. All the would be great. :)

That harness hasn't been available for many years. Best thing to do is make your own.

Not much to go on, where are you testing, and how. Engine running or not? Have you checked battery terminals to make sure the are solid, clean and TIGHT, and wingnuts installed with your fingers is not tight.

Re: Engine harness

When it was running the volts were below 12. Like I said the harness is a wreck. They wire nuts and butt connectors that aren't really that good. Right know Im working in Iraq. I'm going to have a freind of go through it and test all the wires in engine compartment to see if there is a short or something. :)
