I hear ya, that would be the anticavitation plate, it has to be in line with the bottom of the hull as at speed the boat pretty much lifts out of the water and that plate is at sea level and helps stops caviation bubbles. Post a pic if you canIs it the lower fin or upper one, on gearhouse that should be flush with center of boat floor,in a lack of better therm for it but i hope you understand.
A bit oversize does that. i had 60hp on a boat rated for 30hp, hotdang. What you need to do is put some weight in the front of the bow, like some sandbags, and also strengthen your transom where the motor sits if its much too big as trust me things crack in the endThe engine is a bit oversize for boat,but damn it points almost too much up in front before it planes. Im not sure i have mounted it at the right height.
Ok then it is at right height. The boat is a 4.7 meter or 15 fot. It has max limit 55hp,its silver viking sport 15.
