Re: Engine I.d. Numbers????????

I'm not sure what all he is including, I should ask. I'll also look into the gearing. How old do you think I am? Not exactly a kid. Old men, never willing to take chances!! LOL!! Seriously though, I need this done right 'cause I am a commercial fisherman and this boat is my work truck. So I do take your advise to heart. My cunundrum is my budget, VERY LIMITED!!!!! Or I would've bought my friends 20ft mako.

Difference between this and a work truck is you break down with a work truck you will be able to get out and call someone to get you.

This would be good but to do you right day in and day out, do really trust it to?

Me if my living depended on a boat working everyday, no boat ,no food on the table, i would get a outboard motor driven boat.

And heres why in my mind, i could be wrong cause i never had to make a living with the boat.

Outboard twins, so if one went down i still come home with the fish, overnight you hang the spare you have ready to go. Make no mistake i would have a good spare ready to go and the next day i'm working.

When you have down time you can get the spare in good shape again.

It's may just be me but this stringer is old and to stake your life and living on it maybe something you should think long and hard on.

Again good luck !

Maybe I'll be using my vessel assist card alot!!!!LOL!! Your 100% correct about having an O/B twin set up. Thats what I had last year, Sea Pro, 24', twin Yamaha 90's. Boat was stolen from my slip in November, chains and locks cut. My insurance policy only covered theft if it was on the trailer, DON'T BUY STATE FARM!!!!!!!!! A center console set up with the same would be my 1st choice, but I have VERY LITTLE CASH, so I gotta make due.

I would leave it points, you can buy alot of sets of points for 250 bucks.

Oil pan is straight forward, hold it up to bright sunlight after you clean it up and see if any pinholes are there. Pay real good attention to the lip they rust there.
