Im getting closer id'ing my engine (no model # sticker and power head freeze plug does not note the model #. It lists only G2556855). Engine has been repainted and has no identifying stickers.

I have found out because it has a single power power pack that it's a 89-91 model, that gets me closer with the year. In my research I notice the 200HP and 225HP share much of the same components. Is there a way to id which I have? Meaning, is there something specific with a 200 that's not on the 225 or vice versa?

Thanks,
Steve

The 200 has different throttle bodies to the 225 which are the same as the 185.....if you can get some numbers off those (upper and lower are different regardless) you will narrow it down further......maybe the carbs are another avenue?

to narrow your search 1991 200hp & 225 hp hydraulic motor pump has 4 mounting bolts , 1990 200hp & 225 hp 3 mounting bolts , 1989 200 hp & 225 hp 3 mounting bolts , hope this helps a bit further
