engine ingnition and starter compatibility

Does anyone know if the electrical system (starter&ignition components) off of a 93 90hp outboard motor (model #E90TLET) will work on a 79 90hp outboard (model#E90MLC05)?

No evinrude 90hp made in 1979. There is a 1985 model number E90MLCOS. It uses the same starter motor and solenoid as the 1993 model.

thanks j for the info. got the age of the boat and the age of the motor mixed up
