Just finished putting in the new engine. Got it aligned, so ready to put on drive. engine is sitting evenly on mounts. One question. The engine is a little bit off side to side when I measure. Is there some allowance that is built in for torque? Or what would be the allowable tolerance?
Thanks Roman

Ayuh,... As measured from Where, to Where,..??

The motor should be Perfectly Square to the rear motor mounts...

It doesn't matter how the engine sits in the engine compartment. The ONLY thing that matters is the alignment bar goes into the coupler perfectly.

Re: Engine Install Help

The alignment bar does go in perfectly. Thanks for the reassurance. From where to where is a great question. I suppose over twenty some years the hull would not be perfectly straight. However, it does align perfectly with the two rear motor mounts.
Thanks Don and Bondo
