Gave it a dose of starting fluid and on the first pull there she goes, started right up. I ran it for about an hour a variable RPMs without a single stall and it was idling very smoothly within a few of minutes.

God has smiled upon you, returned your property, and gave a message "Tighten the damn clampscrews!"

wow.....i would have bet the farm, that after a few days submerged in salt water.....that it was nothing more than parts!! good job!

Good for you and it just confirms salt water ain't always the boogie man. Probably want to go ahead and change the pull rope, btw. I dropped my lil 2hp Johnny in the pool (don't ask) and just found out last night that my rope was shot. I'm blaming the Chlorine, but it did remind me to at least mention it to you.
