When it kicks out its still for a second then its running again, or does it completely die?

Have you verified that the lower shift cable and the shift cutout are in good shape? If the roller/follower gets a little out of the V groove it will cut power to the ignition. I'd suggest that you physically watch the shift cutout underway. Also along that line, does the lower shift cable come out of the transom plate and make a big easy curve behind the steering ram before it ends up at the shift plate? You can't have kinks.
I wonder if you were to wiggle the harness wiring between the distributor, coil and the Thunderbolt HEI, if that would cause a miss...I'd maybe do that with a stick in case of stray voltage.
It wouldn't hurt to poke around in the gunwale where the wiring runs to see if you can cause the miss there.

What about the master plug? On my 88 I ended up rolling little bits of emery cloth and also using teeny wire brushes for the sockets and male plugs. I also opened up the plug ends a little with a razor blade. They are split down the middle and opening them a bit improved the contact inside their sockets.

Well guys im sorry i havent keep up with this but i thought maybe it just went away! (wrong) Let me give you the short story. I took the motor out this winter and really went over everything. I thought i had it fixed till last weekend. Now i have made over 30 trips out with the boat since the end of last year and since april this year.It has run perfect! I did find on the wiring harness on top of the intake a bare wire that had rubbed on the intake around the port side by maybe a old choke coil plate? I think it was a white wire with a tracer color. I looked it up and it was for the interrupter switch but the bravo doesnt use that. So i thought thats it it must touch and cause the spilt second cut out? Well it came back. Now i tryed to remember every thing and i came up with this. I have been using just reg pump gas all this time and the only thing i did was fill it up with are valtech high test fuel the same morning? Could the fuel be making the knock sensor or some thing happen? Im going go threw the timing and check eveything over and make sure its a -10 Sounds weird but that is all i did? again sorry for the pause in the post but you know when no problems all is good!

Timing for your year should be 8 BTDC. Setting timing at 10 could increase the chance of the knock sensor picking up a knock, but it shouldn't kill spark for a split second, it should only reduce the timing. It could be the knock module is doing something else but unsure right now. Don't think its the knock module but could be wrong.
