General rule is the cavitaion plate should be even to an inch or so higher than the bottom of the boat, but I think that Ranger is a Pad Hull and I don't where to set the motor on it.
The correct height will depend on the technology in the prop and how it reacts with the hull design. <br /><br />We start with the current prop, establish a baseline and calculate slip %. From there we work to reduce the slip. That will lead to max efficiency.
