Not sure it really matters. His block is cracked on that side and may have more internal cracks. Engine is toast no matter where the oil is leaving.

jason- you are exactly right it has cracked on the right side behind were the alternator was setting, pretty much smack between freeze plugs just on lower end of block. all the plugs looked fine, as no oil at all was on them, is it possible its cracked internally as well and getting into cooling water? someone down the road has patched it, looks like a jb weld patch job painted over. did not see water spraying out when on muffs today. at this point trying to figure out if block is ruined,:confused: badly

ran again, only thing dripping out of the crack looks like straight water. this is of course under garden hose pressure. i thought oil was coming out of this crack but sure its not now not thick enough, swear i think its coming out the back end, i think its mixing with cooling water and running out,

Your wasting your time an dfuell by running it now. Block is cracked and is TOAST. Use your time to find new block. Just my opinion
