On my 2020 Lowe Pontoon Boat, when the gas tank is at half full the engine begins to sputter at full throttle. When I fill the tank to full the engine runs fine. What would cause this?
It might_ also be worth checking if there are contaminants in the tank that could block fuel flow when the level is low. Sometimes the issue could also be a clogged fuel filter or a malfunctioning fuel pump. If these elements are fine and the problem persists consider contacting a service center for a thorough diagnosis
Pump your tank as empty as you can get it and sample the gas. At the end of each season, I pump my tank out then fill with fresh gas and a stabilizer so it is ready in the spring with no crude or water to start the season.
