Engine replacement for1998 Glastron GS205

I posted this question in several other forums with out any hits yet. I bought this boat with out an engine. It had a volvo penta 5.0. I want to put a 5.7 back in and am curious what years of engines i am restricted to and why. The out drive is a SX Cobra.

Starting to find information. 98 would have been a one piece seal which has to have the right fly wheel. My machinist has a couple of 4 bolt mains 5.7 vortec engines with the 1 piece seal. I'm taking the flywheel by his shop today so he can confirm that it came from a 1 piece seal block. The bad news is the bottom end and flywheel may have to be rebalanced because of the difference in piston weights between the 305 and the 350.

I may have to discuss that some more as i thought these engines were internally balanced.
