OK my boat motor is a 2003 Johnson 115hp 2 stroke with oil injection ...
I just had the lower unit sealed so im pretty sure its not the lower unit ..

Anyhow i took the boat out for the 1st time and it ran good smoked alot figured its the nature of a 2stroke but it continued to smoke over the 3-4hours of it running ...
BUT it did run good , when i got it home and i was flushing it , i decided to start it and let it idle for a few minutes and when it started, it began spraying oil out the prop all over my gargae door , i let it run for about 15-20sec then shut it off and the prop had oil in the center and oil running down the unit ....

My logic tells me the VRO pump is not properly pumping or could even be cracked causing it to run lean ? BUT im no boat mechanic and figured i better ask someone with more knowledge then me , maybe im way off , what you guys think ?

well. i would first check compression and spark on all 4 cylinders. old gas from last season, could cause the smoking, and over oiling. but you have the dependable OMS mixing pump, not a VRO pump.

it also could be built up exhaust reside, from the exhaust which exits thru the prop.

also check your lower unit fluid.

Compression and spark are both good ...
The gas tank was nearly empty and i filled it with fresh gas ..
Lower unit fluid is good .....

Is it possible the OMS Mixer is not working properly , i was about to remove the oil injection .... I would think it has to be over oiling ....

you can disconnect the oil side of the OMS pump, and plugging oil line to the pump. along with the sender wires, that connect to the pump and oil tank. you will have to premix your fuel, disconnect fuel line at top carb, the pump the blub until you get premixed fuel out the carb line.

fairly easy.

i did the same thing to my 2003 50hp. because the oil tank was way higher than the motor, and oil would siphon down and fill the carbs with oil.

ditto , inspect plugs.
This problem can occur if there is a leak in the fuel line anywhere, if air is drawn into the fuel lines the OMS will detect the vacuum and start to cycle faster, that causes over oiling.

Removing the oil system won't fix it. Your oil pump is doing what it was designed to do, protecting the engine from a lean run and melting a piston.

Pressurize the fuel bulb and use a strong flashlight to find the leak anywhere from the bulb to the pump. Look for damp areas around connections and couplers. Watch this,
