Engine stall and shutts off when suddenly dropping out of high throttle and gear.

Ok, Break out another grand, right? lol
I have a 305 gm 5.0L with a mercarb,while in muffs, i kick it in gear, throttle up slowly, all is good. Throttle up quickly, hesitates. When I quickly drop out of high throttle, engine stalls. I am thinking it's got something to do with carb adjustment? Maybe? I looked at the online manual provided here, and I have located the section for adjusting the carb, but just wanted to check with the epxperts here to see if this is the problem. Also, there is a bit of hesitation when throttling up quickly from idle.

Ya, it sounds like a Carb problem,...
Donno's Adjustin' is gonna fix it,...
A Rebuild oughta though,...
