Looking for an engine stand to rebuild my 60 mercury....any suggestions on where to buy or what brand? thanks.......

i ended up using a hoist on a steel support but craigslist had some when i was looking around.

I have a regular engine stand, that I purchased from an auto parts store for $90, see if you can find a used one for cheaper first. I then put together a mount that bolted on to it, to hold a outboard. The only problem I have came across is the height, it was to short, so I have to set it up on blocks, but it works great, and has dual purposses

I found some steel brackets at Home Depot intended for attaching stair risers to a deck. I used them with 2X4's to build a stand for my Johnson 100HP V-4 that is supposed to weigh 275lbs. Could not get a picture to load. Good luck!
