I have replaced both thermostats, the engines still run cool. when measured with a laser temp gauge they read 105.
The thermostat housing remaine cold at all times.
the thermostats are in correctly.Any ideas?

thank's malvo

Welcome to Iboats.
What brand engines do you have, Merc, Vovo, Omc?
At what point are you reading 105 degrees. Block, intake manifold, Heads. What do your temperature guages read. Themostat houseing on my motor is also cool but that is because the Sea water from the outdive runs accrossed houseing on it way to cool the exhaust manifold. Heads and Block run about 160 degrees.

Re: engine temperature

THE ENGINES ARE MERCRUISER'S, NEITHER ENGINE REGISTERS TEMPERATURE.THE SENDERS ARE IN THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING WHERE THEY ARE LOCATED IS LIKE SEA WATER TEMPERATURE. THE LASER READINGS WERE TAKEN ON THE SIDE OF THE BLOCK AS WELL AS OIL PAN.THE EXAUST MANIFOLDS ARE ALSO COLD.

THANK'S FOR THE REPLY, MALVO

Or the Collar misadjusted,..???.... Even the T-stat Upside Down,.??

Btw,.... Turn the Cap-Lock back Off....... Good Luck.......

Re: engine temperature

Found the problem. The thermostst does not go at the bottom of the housing it goes at a halfway up point in the housing.
Thankyou all for your replies, malvo
