Hello guys, so here is a questions for you. I have a 97 Baja Hammer with a Bravo one. I just hooked up one of the two batteries. Everything works but the engine up and down. Do I need to have the two batteries hooked up for this to work properly. I does make a clicking sound. I much appreciate any help you may provide.

The engine doesn't go up and down, only the outdrive.
Many setups have a seperate wires going to the battery for the trim/tilt pump. You may have missed it.

Thank you for your reply. Would it still click if the appropriate wire was not connnected to the battery?

Re: engine will not go down

It could, just depends on where the solenoids pick up power from.

You can also go up to the Adults Only sticky at the top of the forum and download Service manual 11. There is details and diagrams on how the troubleshoot the problem.

Ayuh,... If you do in fact have it properly hooked up,...
I'd be looking at ALL the electrical connections involved,...
Probably got some Corrosion goin' on somewhere...

Btw,... It's a 12V pump, so a single battery with sufficent charge is all that's needed...

Unless his trim pump wires hook to the other battery.

Ayuh,... But it Still would only take 1, 12v battery of sufficent charge/ amp rating...

Right,..??:p

It's a Given, that it won't work, Improperly wired...
