Engine Will Not Shut Down

I have a Force 50, 1999 and when I turn the ignition off the guages go to zero, but the engine keeps running. What do I do to fix this??

Bristol, to kill this engine you are connecting a black wire with a yellow stripe to a black wire [ground]. Now, either one of those wires is broken/disconnected between the key switch and the motor, orthe key switch is bad.

What ODDD1 said. I hate to say it, but I disconnected my ermgency kill switch ,and still haven't found a suitable replacement,or even the under-rated(amps) original.<br />But the ignition key still works great.<br /><br /><br />------------------<br />Time to change my tagline
