I have recently rebuilt my '98 90 degree looper motor. I rebuilt all 6 carbs as well. I have new plugs and everything seems to be in order. The motor starts and runs for just a few seconds and cuts out. It is backfiring and seems not to be running on all cylinders. I have never messed with timing on these things and have read this forum for hours on end to no avail. From my understanding my idle timing should be electronically controlled. Any help would be ever so greatly appreciated.
On another note the #1 cylinder is the top starboard side correct? When the timing pointer is at the flywheel it seems to line up correctly with that one.
